edaForum17: Evening of November 6 and morning of November 7 in Berlin
The edaForum17 took place as an exclusive event for our members and strategic partners on the morning of November 7, 2017 in Sofitel Berlin in Charlottenstraße near Gendarmenmarkt.
Made possible by the generous support of sponsors Synopsys, and Mentor, the edaForum17 starts with an exclusive evening event on November 6, 2017 in the restaurant Refugium in the baroque vaults of the French Friedrichstadtkirche on the Gendarmenmarkt.
edaForum17 Program:
A special highlight was the panel discussion during the evening event on November 6, 2017. High-ranking representatives of Bosch, Infineon, Microchip, Synopsys and Mentor/Siemens will discuss the topic "Major investments and mergers & acquisitions in the field of microelectronics". Current topics such as Bosch's planned Fab in Dresden or the takeover of Mentor by Siemens offered exciting topics for discussion.
With "Digitization and Chip Design", "Hardware for Machine Learning" and "Sensors and Networks - Bridging Technology to Application", the morning of November 5, 2017 has been focused on topics that concentrate on the concrete implementation of breakthroughs in central technological innovation fields in applications and products. In order to enable the participants of the edaForum17 to efficiently attend a very suitable further event, edacentrum is again cooperating with the VDE and ZVEI associations, which will hold the 7th Microelectronics Symposium in the immediate vicinity in the afternoon of November 7:
VDE/ZVEI Microelectronics Symposium
Directly following the edaForum17, the 7th German Microelectronics Symposium organised by VDE and ZVEI will take place in the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences near Gendarmenmarkt, which also supports the dialogue between politics and industry. The programm of the program of the Microelectronics Symposium 2017 is already fixed and follows the headline "Microelectronics for the digital future".
